About Nancy Wake
While living in Paris, Nancy Wake saw Nazi soldiers chain Jews to wheels and beat them in the street. She was determined to do something if the opportunity ever arose. The opportunity arose. She took it.
WWII's Most Decorated Woman
Wake was given many medals, awards and honors including the George Medal, Britain’s second-highest civilian honor, and the Medal of Freedom, the United States’ second-highest. France gave her the Legion d’Honneur, the highest military honor it bestows.
